Frequently Asked Questions

  • Check in is from 1pm-8pm. 

  • No, we do not allow tents in RV sites. However, we do offer beautiful, designated tent sites.

  • Office is open from 8am-8pm, there are staff on site that can help with an emergency. Please call the office for after hour help.

  • If you plan to arrive after 8pm, there will be a $20 late check-in charge applied when you arrive. Please call the main office number and staff will assist you to your site. 

  • We do have first come, first serve RV and tent sites that campers can park in for one night. All of these sites are near the entrance of the park. Instructions are posted at the office window.

  • Our campground is in rural Montana with limited utility services. This provides an excellent opportunity to disconnect and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. We work to provide the best Wi-Fi service available. However, please note that service can be spotty and there are places in the park with limited connectivity.

  • To lower the risk of fire danger, only select camp sites have fire pits. If having a fire pit is important to your stay, please use the filter function in Campspot to select the correct site with a fire pit. Also be sure to lock in the site so that you are not moved. Propane fire bowls are available to rent as well.

  • We have free cold water washers on site and clotheslines to dry. There is a laundry mat in Lolo, located 2.5 miles from the park.

  • We do not sell ice in the park but there are gas stations that sell ice both East and West of the park. Propane can be purchased at Tractor Supply in Lolo or at Ropers gas station.

  • Campsites at Yellowrock are available from May 1st to September 30th.

  • We do not allow long term stays. Three weeks max is allowed for RV sites and three days for tent sites. 

  • We have a dump station that is complimentary to campers staying in the park. For RV dumping off road, we charge $15. For off road dumping, the dump station is open from 9am-7pm.

  • County law requires all animals be on leash in the park with the exception of the fenced in dog area. 

  • We ask that you try to get your dog to the designated dog area to help prevent the spread of disease, to keep the sites green and clean for future campers. We have multiple dog areas throughout the park for your convenience. If you need assistance finding the closest area to your site please ask a staff member.
